As Denver's African American population has grown and changed over the years, so has the annual Juneteenth Festival held in the historic Five Points neighborhood. The theme for this year is "Rebirth" and the hope is to make the event bigger and better than it has been in recent years. Juneteenth is a celebration of the ending of slavery in the United States. The festival includes a parade, cultural food and vendor booths. |
